Bone Koru Spiral Carved Bone Pendant
Bone Koru Spiral Carved Bone Pendant
This gorgeous Koru pendant is hand carved from genuine ethically-sourced yak bone!
Bone has been carved into jewelry for many years as it represents the strength of wild animals.
The bone used in our jewelry is ethically sourced, and NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED for the purpose of making our creations.
The Koru symbol, which is often used in Maori art as a symbol of creation, is based on the shape of an unfurling fern frond. Its circular shape conveys the idea of perpetual movement, and its inward coil suggests a return to the point of origin. The Koru therefore symbolizes the way in which life both changes and stays the same.
This pendant comes on an adjustable hemp cord which is very durable, and can even be worn while swimming, showering, and bathing!
The diameter of the pendant (across the middle) is 37mm.
